Iberville Parish Library
Closed to the public until further notice

The Iberville Parish Library prioritizes the health and safety of our patrons and staff. In response to information provided by healthcare professionals and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Library has temporarily closed to allow for service changes. Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, all Iberville Parish Libraries will be closed to the public until further notice

All programs and outreach have been cancelled including the Gray Monkey Parade. Online resources will continue to be available at This includes e-books, audiobooks, streaming music, movies and television shows, etc. Assistance will be available during the library closure at; please allow 24 hours for a response. WiFi access will remain available in all branch parking lots for patron use during closures. All returned materials are being quarantined for 3 days before returning to shelves. Overdue fees have been waived during this time to encourage patrons to stay home if feeling unwell. E-cards will be available via phone or email during the closure for new patrons to access online resources. Online access to the Post South is available at no charge via our website along with other newspapers and magazines.

Iberville Substance Abuse Center – Currently Open
Hours: Monday-Thursday • 8 a.m. to 2 p.m

Tourism Department
All three locations open (Plaquemine Locks Historic Site, Iberville Museum, & Iberville Visitors Center at Grosse Tete) — following social distancing guidelines.

Clerk of Court – Currently Open
We ask that the public call before coming in for services. Half of our staff will be working from home. There are two shifts that will trade places at the start of each week. Let me know if I can be of any assistance to you or our government. As of March 18, 2020, the Iberville Clerk of Court will stop Issuing Birth Certificates and Passports.

Council on Aging
Closed until further notice.

Senior Center Coordinators will provide two weeks supply of bag meals for our center participants. Home deliveries will continue as normal for our Meals on Wheels participants. Delivery will be arranged and scheduled by their respective drivers. Furthermore, we will be suspending our Homemaker and Respite Services. Our transportation department will be unavailable for pick-up services during this period of limited operations. In efforts to minimize the transmission risk of COVID-19 we are taking all necessary precautions to protect the health of the seniors of this parish. Elderly service groups across the region have convened privately with discussions aimed at minimizing the risk of transmission of COVID-19 to the elderly population.
