Join Heather Veneziano in learning the Dos and Don’ts of grave cleaning and preservation.

Heather Veneziano lives in New Orleans, where she owns and operates Gambrel & Peak, a multifaceted historic preservation consulting firm. She holds advanced degrees in studio-based craft, including a BFA from the University of the Arts, an MFA from the University of Edinburgh, and a Masters in Preservation Studies from Tulane University. She has lectured nationally and internationally on her work and has authored numerous conference papers and articles focused on vernacular architecture, deathscapes, ritual, craft, and architecture/landscape preservation.

Ms. Veneziano is the co-author, co-editor, and designer of Gateway to New Orleans: Bayou St. John, 1708-2018 and is currently working a pocket-sized guide to the cemeteries of New Orleans. She is a founding member of the Louisiana chapter of the Association for Gravestones Studies and currently serves as co-chair.
