Iberville Parish is uniquely situated to offer not only primary school education options, but also post high school job training and easy access to the state’s largest and most prestigious university, Louisiana State University, just 15 miles away in Baton Rouge.

The Louisiana National Guard operates its Youth Challenge Program in east Iberville. This program intervenes in the lives of at-risk 16 to 18-year-olds, providing discipline and learning in a structured environment. It also helps students attain either their high school diploma or GED.

Technical and job training is also available at River Parishes Community College - Westside Campus in Plaquemine. A part of the Louisiana Community and Technical College system, Westside provides training for a variety of careers including the medical field, along with computer and other specialized courses. One of the state’s most impressive community colleges, Baton Rouge Community College, is an easy and short ride from Iberville.
