Keep the Dream Alive: A Day of Church & Community Service

In Honor of Martin Luther King Jr.

Join the White Castle community as we come together to honor the life, legacy, and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through service, reflection, and unity. Keep the Dream Alive is a meaningful Day of Church & Community Service focused on uplifting our neighborhoods and continuing Dr. King’s mission of compassion, equality, and civic responsibility.

The day will begin with Youth Community Involvement at 10:00 a.m., encouraging young people to actively participate in service and leadership. At 1:00 p.m., the community will gather for a Remembering Dr. King Program and Lunch, featuring guest speaker Ken Brass, who will share reflections on Dr. King’s enduring impact and the importance of service in today’s world.

In addition to the main event, a community cleanup initiative will take place Friday, January 16 through Monday, January 19, 2026, with trash bins and dumpsters available at the following locations:

  • Dorseyville Area: St. John Church Lot

  • Hwy 405 / River Road: Asbury Methodist Church

  • White Castle Area: Town Hall

Volunteers are needed and service hours are available.
