Planning Commission
The Iberville Parish Planning Commission is the parish agency that provides land and development policies for the parish. Among its duties are providing planning and technical assistance to the Iberville Parish Council and other parish agencies, establishing land use regulation interpretation, reviewing development and land use proposals to make sure they meet all ordinances and regulations and are in alignment with the parish Master Plan.
The Planning Commission meets the second Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Meeting Room, 2nd floor, Courthouse Building, 58050 Meriam Street, Plaquemine, LA 70764.

The Iberville Parish Planning Commission consists of not less than five nor more than nine citizen members appointed and approved by the Iberville Parish Council. Each member is appointed for a term of not less than four years. The Iberville Parish Planning Commission also has two Ex-officio members - the parish building Inspector and the parish Solid Waste Director.
The Planning Commission meets monthly. At the first meeting of January of each year, the members elect one of its members to be the Chairperson for a term of one year. The Commission also appoints a secretary who will keep a journal of its proceedings, in which all actions taken by the Planning Commission are recorded and become a public record.
